A Little Bit About Me...

With over twenty eight years of experience performing in choirs and local bands and over twenty years of playing guitar I have built a solid reputation for providing a professional act and entertaining an audience. Through these years I have learned many valuable lessons regarding the study of music, live performance, recording, production and the technology of music. I have never been happier, than when I am sharing this knowledge with others in an atmosphere that allows me to continue to grow as a musician and a person.

My earlier years as a student I studied guitar and sound engineering with David Levy of Legacy Lab in Chambersburg, PA. Much of what I have learned since has been self taught through practical experience. When I decided to start teaching I felt that formal education would only enhance what I had to offer. Therefore, I returned to school at Hagerstown Community College where I earned an Associate degree in music. I have since studied at Shenandoah University, Valley City State University, and Berklee School of Music where I completed my Bachelor Degree in Music Production.

I am currently offering classes for guitar instruction for beginner to intermediate guitar students. Advanced students will be accepted on a case by case basis. Instruction includes guitar theory and music theory as well as using tab and playing by ear. Lessons will provide technique for playing Pop, Rock, and Country however students are encouraged to listen to and engage in many different styles of music for inspiration. All course work is geared to the individual student and their own personal goals, i.e. playing lead guitar, singing while playing solo guitar, songwriting for guitar, etc.

Please contact me  to discuss student desires, goals and schedules. From there, we can determine together, the best course of action for your guitar instruction needs.

Thank you,
